HYPNAGOGI

Came across a really interesting photographer via Dazed Digital. Kalliope Amorphous exhibition Hypnagogi is entirely self-contained, where she is the model, the stylist, the makeup artist and the photographer at once. She describes it as "the deconstruction of identity".

I lost someone the other day and this feeling of emptiness cadges my mind all the time. If you start thinking of death you'll go crazy cause it's beyond all that we know.. it's scary but it's there. It happens and it makes you analyze life like never before.

TREASURES FROM THE PAST

I love my father for being the multi collector that he is. As long as I remember he has always filled my closet with the most beautiful things, jewelry, old cameras, you name it. Last year I got like ten purses that he found in our basement and they just keep on showing up from time to time. The other day my collection expanded with a new one, Bag Lady, which is also the title of one of my favorite songs by Erykah Badu. Also got this really nice transparent blouse.

Sun is shining third day in a row now and my mood is better than ever. It's time to head to the dance studio and then we're editing a short video that we taped this week. It might show up here tonight!

NINEOHEIGHT

We're getting close to finish our show. New NineOhEight case is debuting @ Riddim Rockerz March 4th and the same weekend it's time for Hip Hop Revolution, can't wait! Choreographed the rest today and it feels good being productive during this period while we're all just waiting for spring to come. My sketch book full of ideas and stuff that needs to be done. Snow, please melt.

APPLE APPLE APPLE

Just saw this new trailer of cy.clo.thy.mi.a, a dance show choreographed by Dana Foglia, Lajon Dantzler and Joanna Numata, starring some of my friends from New York and especially I'm so proud of my bestie Moncef! Wish I could have been there while they had the shows running cause it seemed absolutely amazing.

Oh, I miss taking classes that really challenges me and I miss working hard as hell in class. So I have one more thing on my check-list I need to do - book my ticket to New York for this summer!

FINITO!!!

Exams are over, done, finito! I'm off to Que Pasa to celebrate my dear Tuni who had her 24th birthday yesterday. Hip Hip Hooray!

Friday morning, just woke up. Sometimes you have a dream that's too good to cut for opening your eyes. And whats the first thing I see when I stand up looking through my window? another round of snow. Not going to complain since it's still February but damn I'm longing for spring!

Fugees are filling my room with a really nice vibe right now, off to teach in a bit then it's time for some chilling with my girls!

HELLO AGAIN

Life suddenly got so busy. Latley I've been feeding my brain with art history and forcing my self to remember almost a hundred new paintings and sculptures. Feels strange studying again but I love how you learn something new every day.

I finally got myself a MacBook (!) which means I can finally dig through my harddrive that's been visiting a lot of computers the past year. I've found some really good music and just been enjoying dancing again. Feels great. The girls and I are working on a new show that we're performing with @ Riddim Rockerz March 4th.

I'm back, lets do this!

CLIMAX

Streetstar was really inspiring and the feeling of jammin with a hundred other people who shares the same passion is amazing. Didn't come through this time tough but the most important of all, I got my joy for dance back and it wouldn't be for all other dancers who were there.

Oh and by the way, it's been a really nice day. Got myself a MacBook and just came home from a dope training with the girls, so looking forward to perform with the new show!
